Supercharged HemiNeed for Speed - Most Wanted

Another addition from EA games with the release of Need for Speed Most Wanted.

I don't know how long ago this game was release but I was at my local video store when I thought it's time to play another car racing game, and what better than one where you get to run from the cops and even better that it's not illegal and you don't get locked up.

Well actually you do get arrested.. in the game that is. It's quite a good game although I must admit that I didn't really like it at when I first started playing it. Not really sure why looking back in hindsight however it really did grow on me after I got used to what was happening. I guess part of the problem is I don't like reading the instruction booklet as I just want to start racing and learn it on the fly.

One of the things I like about today's racing games is the amount of customisation you can make to your rides. There is a fair amount of customising but not as much as I have enjoyed in other racing games. Yet am I still to find full customisation like the Gran Turismo series. You also can play online if you have your games console set up for it but I didn't get to try it myself.

The handling of the cars is very good and about the only couple of improvements I'd like to see is better burnouts, and takeoffs as the cars seem to be very sluggish off the mark, maybe to give the illusion that the cars are wheel spinning but I found that a little annoying.

If you love racing games it's worth the money, great graphics, sound, and game play which will provide you hours of entertainment and even playing doubles on split screen was decent compared to other racing games. Need for Speed Most Wanted Website
