Muscle Car Masters at Eastern Creek Raceway

14th October 2006

The Muscle Car Masters held at Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway was a great day out where you could see some of Australia's racing heritage on the circuit doing what they do best. Of course no muscle car race day would be complete without the big three car companies racing classics of the 60's, 70's and 80's with plenty of Fords, Holdens and Chryslers. Being big fans of the 70's racing aussie race cars, we thought it was so good to see them out on the track. Of course with any race day there were a few crunches and you could only feel for the owners who's day took a turn for the worst. Even racing legend Alan Moffat was there signing autographs an there were plenty in line wanting a signed copy of Alan racing the classic Ford XY GTHO from the early 70's were Alan battled the late Peter Brock who was no doubt one of Australia's best racing drivers ever. Peter Brock was tragically killed on the 8th September in a racing accident racing a Daytona Coupe replica during the Targa Rally over in Perth. Peter is well know here in Australia as the King of the Mountain winning the Bathurst 1000 a record breaking 8 times.
