Carline Mufflers Powercruise 2006
10th March 2006
The 3rd of March saw the beginning of a three day car annual event known as the Carline Mufflers Powercruise held at Eastern Creek Raceway in Sydney's west. We tagged along on the Saturday to see what all the hype was about, so we off we went. The day featured a number events for participants to get involved in so we went to check out the cars in the show n shine display. The number of cars in the show n shine was a lower than we expected however the quality of the cars particulary in the indoor area were outstanding and our pick of the day was the 1957 Chev (WILD57) which we thought was absolutely fantastic. The Orange BA Ford GT was crowd pleaser with the aftermarket intake injection system which was very well done. There were drift sessions with a number of locals showing their skills on the track. The powerskid was another event where drivers from a standing start competed to generate the longest burnout without using the brake although there were a few who couldn't resist. There was also a cruise around the circuit where entrants could get out on the track and cruise around without the worries of the boys in blue. Overall a good day out for car lovers.
