Trick and Mansweto Racing
We like the boys at Trick & Mansweto and we think they're one of Sydney's Best Performance Car Workshops
Have you heard of Trick and Mansweto Racing? Well we have and we can tell you that these guys are first class in the performance heavy weights of building tough cars. Tristan and Jason are the owners of Trick and Mansweto Racing and were kind enough to let us into their workshop to take a few pictures and get the low down on what they do.
We were very impressed with what Jason and Tristan do, providing a range of services from:
- Race Engine Building
- Cylinder Head Port & Polishing
- Engine Dyno Tuning
- Wheel Tubbing
- Exhaust Systems
Jason and Tristan are true performance guru's because their methods are tried and tested. When they aren't at work you can find Jason and Tristan with their race Capri and Jasons XWGT at Sydney's local car show, or drag meeting.
Recently we went to the Carline Mufflers Powercruise event held at Eastern Creek Raceway and sure enough Jason and Tristan were there showing what they are made of.
Even though Trick and Mansweto racing sounds like a performance only workshop, Jason and Tristan will happily work on your daily driver too, doing regular servicing, tuning and general mechanical repairs. However if you have a performance project why not bring that along too.
Not only do these guys know their stuff but they are all round nice guys. They were more than happy to have us drop in and have a look at the workshop, take these pictures and write an article about them.
The boys are well know for the two killer Fords, but they are also just as good with Chevs, and Holdens too. Whilst we were there at the workshop we noted a VL Commodore, HQ Monaro Coupe, Tubbed LX Torana just to name a few. They also happened to be working on a customers Ford V8 running it in on their engine dyno. It was fired up and run using a range of equipment to monitor fuel / air mixture, revs, oil pressure, temperature, engine output and more form their hi-tech equipment.
Not only are the boys building a name for themselves here in Oz, they have travelled the USA showing off their talents there too. Closer to home and the boys have also done work on V8 supercars, and their Capri is the fastest street car in Australia
Originally the boys worked separately, Jason a mechanic building his XW and Tristan was a master in cylinder head machining. When Jason needed some head work done for the XW he called Tristan and they formed an alliance now know as Trick and Mansweto Racing.
At the recent Summernats at Canberra the boys pulled a ton of trophies for their cars.
